Terms and Conditions of Booking and Stay – Passer Relais Bistrot managed by Menaggio Turismo Srl – IT-22017 Menaggio (Co) Italy  

Please read the terms and conditions below carefully. By reserving a room/apartment and related additional services, you signify your acceptance of the following Terms and Conditions.  

Booking and Confirmation  

Every booking, after confirmation, has the value of a contract according to current Italian law.   

The contract is binding for the person making the booking and for all other persons mentioned in the booking, including minors.  

Bookings must be made through our website, e-mail or platform and full details of at least one valid credit card must be provided to Menaggio Turismo Srl.  

Guests who wish to receive an invoice for their stay are kindly requested to communicate this during the confirmation phase as well as the details of the same, otherwise Menaggio Turismo Srl will produce a nominative fiscal receipt.  

The confirmation of the booking is only made with immediate confirmation of the credit card as guarantee.  

Always check the number of rooms, the type of room, the number of underage guests included and the period of stay when booking.  

It is essential to verify the number of bedrooms, the category of accommodation, the number of guests included (including minors), and the duration of the stay when confirming a booking.  

Rates  

These are per overnight stay and include VAT. For rooms, breakfast is included per basic number of occupants, with a surcharge for additional persons. For apartments, breakfast is not included and rates are independent of the number of occupants. For apartments, final cleaning is included.  

Pre-authorisation  

Each reservation requires a credit card number as a guarantee. Pre-authorisation is not a purchase, it consists of checking the validity of the card and temporarily blocking the amount of the first night as a guarantee for the reservation.  

Should this pre-authorisation fail, we will be forced to consider the reservation invalid.  

In the event of a cancellation outside the time limit, the property reserves the right to proceed with the collection; if no penalty is incurred, the property will release the pre-authorised amount.  

Change of reservation  

Should changes to a reservation be required, the guest should contact reception, where every effort will be made to accommodate the request, subject to availability.  

If the reservation is changed to a period for which the price is higher than the amount paid, the customer will be notified of the difference in price to be paid.  

Cancellation of the reservation  

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to Menaggio Turismo Srl. Penalties may be applied in accordance with the following schedule:  

– Free cancellation is permitted up to 15 days before arrival;  

– Cancellations made between 10 days and 5 days before arrival will result in the charge of one night;  

– Cancellations made less than 5 days before arrival or no-shows will result in the full amount of the stay being charged.  

Non-refundable reservations cannot be changed or cancelled.  

Check-in and Check-out  

Please note that check-in is permitted from 3pm to 7pm on the day of arrival. It is necessary to present a valid document (passport or identity card) for each guest, including minors.  

Check-out is to be completed by 11 a.m. on the day of departure.  

Requests for early check-in or late check-out are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.  

Payment Policy  

Payment for the entire stay is required at the time of check-in or prior to arrival. We accept the following payment methods: credit card, debit card or bank transfer.  

Guests may request to see their bill to verify the charges prior to settlement. Any errors must be reported before the tax receipt or invoice is issued.  

If an invoice is required, guests must inform reception before the tax receipt is issued.  

Security Deposit  

A security deposit may be required at check-in to cover damage to the facility or additional costs. It will be returned at check-out upon verification.  

Policy on Children and Extra Beds  

Cots are free of charge up to 15 kg and must be requested at the time of booking (subject to availability). Beyond this weight, an extra bed is required, subject to availability and at an additional cost for children 6+.  

In this case, and in the case of extra adult beds, the sofa bed will be converted into a bed.   

Pets  

Pets may be permitted on a case-by-case basis at an additional cost of 15 euro, and more detailed information is available upon request.  

Guests’ responsibilities  

It is the responsibility of guests to comply with the law and internal regulations. They are also responsible for any damage caused to property or staff, and for the security of their own belongings by using the provided safe and locking it.   

Menaggio Turismo Srl reserves the right to terminate the stay of any guest who does not respect the rules or cause disturbance.  

Changes and Cancellations by the Property  

Menaggio Turismo Srl reserves the right to alter or cancel a reservation with 30 days’ notice, offering an alternative solution or a refund.  

Privacy and Treatment of Personal Data  

Menaggio Turismo Srl collects personal data for the management of bookings and services requested without sharing them with third parties, unless required by law, in compliance with the regulations currently in force (Art.13 GDPR EU 2016/679).  

Force Majeure  

Menaggio Turismo Srl is not responsible for damages, inconveniences or cancellations caused by force majeure events (natural disasters, wars, strikes, etc.).  

Parents/guardians’ responsibility for minors  

Parents/guardians are responsible for the behaviour of minors within the facility and must supervise them, ensuring respectful behaviour towards others. Minors must be accompanied to the common areas and may not enter the wellness area.  

Damage to the Facility  

Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the facility, furnishings and equipment. The theft of equipment such as kettles, bathrobes, etc. is forbidden.  

Menaggio Turismo Srl reserves the right to charge damage and/or theft to the guest’s credit or debit card.  

Smoking Policy  

The property is completely non-smoking, both in the rooms and in the common areas, with the exception of the outdoor courtyard and balconies.   

Tourist tax  

In the Municipality of Menaggio there is a tourist tax of € 1 per night/person over the age of 11.  

Important information  

The accommodation is located in the old town, which is not accessible by car. There are several free public car parks within a radius of 150-200 metres where you can unload your luggage and park your vehicle, subject to availability. The facility does not have a lift. Two rooms on the mezzanine floor are equipped with a mobile stair lift for wheelchairs and can be booked for people with reduced mobility (subject to availability).  

All other rooms and apartments are located on the first and second floors.

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction  

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Italian law, any disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in Como (Italy).
